《捫心問診第三季》是一部以色列熱播劇《B'tipul》改編的電視劇。故事圍繞著一位心理學(xué)家保羅展開，他每天與不同的病人進(jìn)行心理治療。保羅在治療過程中傾聽病人的心聲，并試圖揭示他們內(nèi)心深處的秘密。劇中還加入了其他知名演員，如戴安-威斯特和布萊爾-安德伍德。該劇由加布里埃爾-伯恩扮演主角，并由羅多瑞格-加西亞擔(dān)任導(dǎo)演、制片和編劇。該劇被描述為一部有核動(dòng)力的肥皂劇。

 HBO就把《in treatment》拍到第三季，沒有繼續(xù)往下拍。繼上一季，主人公心理醫(yī)生離了婚搬到紐約后，其中年危機(jī)全面爆發(fā)：停止了和其督導(dǎo)師十好幾年督導(dǎo)關(guān)系，以前的老婆也有了新歡要結(jié)婚了，感覺自己青春期的孩子也遠(yuǎn)了，找了三十多歲的女朋友，于是開始了本季的故事。第三季的導(dǎo)演，編劇都沒有變，風(fēng)格不變：幾乎無外景，幾乎無背景音樂，完全靠演技和臺(tái)詞支撐。

 

  本季有三個(gè)來訪者，和一個(gè)新的“督導(dǎo)師”：

一個(gè)剛死了老婆的五十多歲的印度男人，他娶了個(gè)美國媳婦的兒子要盡孝把他接到美國來；結(jié)果老爹不適應(yīng)，還和媳婦在養(yǎng)孩子等問題上有矛盾，冷戰(zhàn)，憋著回國，不能老死他鄉(xiāng)。于是來跟咨詢師侃大山，說著說著就說到了年輕的時(shí)候，初戀女友未婚先孕自殺什么的，懷疑兒媳有外遇什么的…后來才發(fā)現(xiàn)原來這他是想利用咨詢師高估自己的暴力傾向，讓自己被遣返回國。但，他的確想咨詢師袒露了許多真實(shí)的想法。
 

一著名歌劇女演員，她媽死于乳腺癌，她妹也因?yàn)槿橄侔┎∪敫嚯粒耙魂噧哼€離了婚，她女兒正是青春期跟家長對著干的年紀(jì)。帶著愧疚于當(dāng)年沒有及時(shí)趕到病危母親的病床前，帶著對妹妹愧疚 喜愛 嫉妒的情緒，她一直在逃避照顧妹妹的責(zé)任，且沒有勇氣去要自己去做乳腺檢查。咨詢師一直就是去鼓勵(lì)她去做該做的事兒。

 

17歲，gay，被養(yǎng)父母養(yǎng)大，突然在成人之際，接到了親生父母的信。于是，糾結(jié)了。咨詢師一面鼓勵(lì)他去和親生父母聯(lián)系，一面幫助其認(rèn)識(shí)自己和養(yǎng)父母的關(guān)系。但他始終帶著“自己哪里做的不好，為什么是我被拋棄”的角度看待周圍的人和事兒的。最后他還是唐突終止了咨詢，因?yàn)樗职滞蝗蛔兊暮退H近起來，而使他認(rèn)為一切問題已經(jīng)解決。但是咨詢師卻不這么認(rèn)為。
 

主人公咨詢師，剛離婚，上一季死了爹，離開了熟悉的督導(dǎo)師?，F(xiàn)實(shí)生活中的情感來源都突然消失，他開始從來訪者身上獲取補(bǔ)償，其表現(xiàn)就是出色完美的移情，有時(shí)會(huì)超越了咨詢師的界限而作為朋友，父親來關(guān)愛來訪者；而在面對新督導(dǎo)師的時(shí)候，他也像教課書中的案例一樣，愛上了他的督導(dǎo)師---一個(gè)小他十幾歲的洞察力超強(qiáng)的女人。
